Free Tier
What’s always free?
Recording, transcription and speaker separation are free and unlimited. No account, license key or credit card. The speech models run on your Mac’s Apple Silicon, so there are no per-minute fees and the audio never leaves your Mac. Voice typing, search and voice profiles are free too.
MimicScribe starts offline. Cloud AI is opt-in, and the free tier includes an allowance of it so you can try it.
Cloud AI allowance
Cloud AI runs on Google Gemini through our open-source proxy, on transcript text (never audio). On the free tier:

Follow-up questions and corrections share one weekly bucket. Each allowance resets Monday at local midnight, and current usage is shown in Settings › Subscription. When an allowance runs out, everything on-device keeps working; only that cloud feature pauses until Monday.

Manual export is never limited, so a note is always one click away. Weekly limits reset Monday at local midnight. Pro removes them.

- Pro — a one-time purchase ($75; $50 launch price until October 31, 2026). No limits on MCP, auto-export or your own AI endpoint, all 1.x updates, and it keeps working offline.
- Cloud AI — $10/month or $84/year. Unlimited meeting summaries, in-meeting briefings, follow-ups and file imports on our Gemini proxy, under fair-use limits. Includes Pro while you’re subscribed.
