Hi. There's definitely something happening with the compatibility with MacOS 27. Yesterday, I was running my meetings with MimicScribe and it was a terrible day - system is lagging heavily during Google Meets. Today, I quit the MimicScribe and didn't notice any issues so far. Same Google Meets, same everything, the only difference: MimicScribe app not running.

hey. uh oh ok. I'm on 26.6 still. I'll try to get a bot on it. Idk if I'm ready to do an OS update to test myself until Monday maybe.

Alright, here's what's coming out in the new release 🤞. Feel free to email if it's still not working after this and you'd like to keep trying.

• Decoupled input monitoring from the main UI thread: Moved global keyboard and mouse event taps to a dedicated high-priority thread so typing and cursor movement never hitch if background tasks spike.
• Eliminated GPU contention with Meet’s video pipeline: Pinned our on-device speech models strictly to the Apple Neural Engine (.cpuAndNeuralEngine), preventing CoreML from competing with Chrome’s WebRTC/hardware video decode on the GPU.
• Streamlined call-detection polling: Paused background audio-stream status checks while a meeting is actively recording, eliminating periodic CoreAudio IPC overhead.
• Added thermal & memory load-shedding: The live speaker-embedding worker now throttles gracefully if macOS reports serious thermal pressure, prioritizing system responsiveness.
• Updated macOS background inference entitlements: Added Apple’s continued background inference entitlement to prevent OS thread starvation and audio buffer buildup on newer macOS releases.

Thank you. Will test it and post an update how it goes.

From agent:

Some of this shipped in v1.0.0-rc.33 — call detection does a lot less Accessibility and CoreAudio work now. We still haven't reproduced the slowdown itself, so if you're still seeing it after updating, say so here and I'll send you steps to capture a diagnostic log.

UPD: seems to be all good now. Didn't notice any lags after updating to rc.32 & rc.33
